What to do While Waiting for Weather

May 9, 2015
Woke up late at 9:30AM to sunny skies and moderate winds. Debated same question, go or stay? Same discouraging weather prediction. Once Ana moves on shore, high winds, lots of rain. Trouble is, she can’t make her mind either, go or stay? What to do?

When you can’t make up your mind, that is the best time to have thick sliced peppered bacon and a cheese, onion and spinach omelet, chased down with plenty of hot black Starbuck’s French Roast (except Emily who douses hers with lots of half and half). That kind of cholesterol and caffeine consumption will nail you to your seat and make the decision to stay easy.

Of course the weather did degrade. A series of squalls passes over, heavy rain and wind for a few minutes then sun. Decidedly more humid air. Maybe Ana is on the move! Then it got better, decidedly more so just in time for a band to begin to set up. As previously noted, southern and country rock only, no baby stuff here.

Scheduled to start at 3:00 PM, which they did, and have been playing ever since. So we are on our own private dock, generating our own electricity, drinking our own whiskey and listening to The Revival play Lynyrd Skinner, Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker and all manner of other revered southern rock and country bands.
What could go wrong?

Tomorrow more adventures and two stories, one about Marc, the French Canadian on Cap Jeseux and one about a shipwrecked sailor and his rescue.
Later gator.

A few scenes from the dock at Bucksport Marina.
